Aysgarth Falls

Aysgarth Falls in Wensleydale are a series of broad limestone steps on the River Ure, a few miles east of Hawes. The falls are split into three sections - Upper, Middle and Lower - each with its own character, and the riverside walks between them are level and easy underfoot. The falls featured in the 1991 film Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. A National Park Centre sits at the Upper Falls with parking, and the village of Aysgarth itself has pubs and tea rooms. A must-see for anyone new to the area, and a straightforward addition to a day out taking in Hawes, Bolton Castle or the upper dale.
