The old cart house has been beautifully restored but retains it's character. We were able to park right outside. The road is very quiet both day and night. Lots of walks and places to visit close by. Kirby Lonsdale and Hawes are both worth a visit.

Checking in was a breeze, the property is beautiful and perfect for a countryside getaway. The road really is no problem when it comes to the on street parking despite it being listed as an A road, and everything you need is in the house. We will be back, thank you so much!

Everything was really lovely and cosy. Super clean, lovely and warm despite the very wintery weather outside. Shower and bathroom were lovely. We cooked most of our meals in the oven and used the hob and both were easy to use, worked well and with good instructions in the welcome pack. Loved the cute little espresso mugs too. It was a lovely location near Sedbergh, very easy to get to and find surrounded by the beautiful rolling hills. We hope to return.

Particular highlights were generous welcome basket and best of all, and virtually unheard of in holiday accommodation, luxurious bath sheets instead of stupid little towels! And bedding and towels were not the ubiquitous white / hotel like norm….it really felt like a home. Great location - very comfortable - excellent value.

It's an ideal location for exploring this side of the Dales on foot, by bike or by car. Parking is easy and although it is on a main road there is very little traffic and it is very quiet! The 'welcome basket' was much appreciated.

The cottage has a wonderful atmosphere, set in a very quiet village and provides a great gateway to the Yorkshire Dales. It is also a great base to explore the Dales, including completing the drive through the Buttertubs pass. It is on the main road but there is very little traffic during the day and next to none during the night, so very quiet.
