Sedbergh market

Sedbergh market is an open-air farmers market held every Wednesday from around 8.30am to 12.30pm in the centre of Sedbergh, selling fruit and vegetables, bread, meat, fish, eggs, cheese and more from local growers and producers. There is also an Artisan Market on Saturdays once a month during the summer months - keep an eye out for the dates, which are posted at the Sedbergh Tourist Information Centre and on the Visit Sedbergh website.

The market sits on Main Street alongside the Black Bull and the Dalesman, and it is a small-town Dales market rather than a tourist attraction. If you are self-catering at Roger Pot or The Old Cart House, it is a good place to pick up local produce for the week. For everyday groceries, Powell's greengrocer and the Meat Hook butcher are on the same street.
