The Black Bull Inn, Sedbergh

The Black Bull is a pub in Sedbergh, the nearest town to Garsdale, roughly six miles west down the A684. It is one of several dog-friendly pubs and restaurants in the town and a convenient option for an evening meal without driving too far from the cottage. Sedbergh itself has a small weekly market on Wednesday mornings and artisan markets through the summer months, so a trip to the Black Bull can be combined with a browse of the bookshops, craft shops and the other eating places on the high street. The Half and Half, also in Sedbergh, is the other local option and runs a monthly acoustic night.
